Snaps
Can be slightly harder to do up
Can be more difficult to get a good fit
Long Lasting, dont wear out and broken snaps can be easily replaced
Harder for baby to remove
Colour coordinated to nappy
Snaps are a great option for one size fits most nappies that are going to be used every day for a long period of time. It lasts much longer and is much more durable.
Hook and Loop (Velcro)
Quick and easy to do up. Great option for daycare and grandparents.
Easy to get a good fit all of the time
Wear out over time
Can be easy for a toddler to undo and get off
Generally only comes in white
Hook and loop is a great option for daycare and grandparents as it is easy to use and is the more like using a disposable nappy. It is also great for the newborn stage as you can get a really good fit and aren't restricted to where the snaps are.
