I loved terry squares when my daughter was a newborn for catching and wiping spew but plan to use prefolds or flats as a nappy with covers in the newborn period next time! I think they make a great newborn nappy without having to spend a fortune as they only stay that little for such a short time.

Posted by Monika on 16 May 2016

I love flat nappies! I've used muslin flats before my bub fit into the osfm and they were great for the newborn stage. I loved trying out different folds and mini kite and origami were my favorite. They will still be a good back up for the winter. I also have some prefolds I'm waiting for my bub to grow in. Thank you for this giveaway and an opportunity to try something new.

Posted by charlotte on 16 May 2016

I love the tried and tested simple tradiotional nappies with no microfiber to get stinky. I am planning to use flats, prefolds and covers exclusively with baby number 3

Posted by Ireen on 16 May 2016

I was going to do MCNs but got overwhelmed with the rules and issues with leaking and drying, so I went with flats. Super quick to dry, catches everything and folding them is like therapy! Would highly recommend to people but convincing them is the hard part - have one friend on board so far!

Posted by Kate Marconi on 16 May 2016

I have never used prefolds, but would love to try them with my next child from newborn period as they are supposed to fit babies better

Posted by Julia B on 16 May 2016

I love doing a pad fold with a prefold and putting it in a cover, but I'm really excited to try out a jelly roll fold with my prefolds on my baby that's due soon :-D I love that they're a great, economical option and would love to have more so that I can use them more often :-)

Posted by Natasha on 16 May 2016

We have only tried prefolds as a part of our hire pack. I'm keen to try them again as its good to have a verity of nappies at your beck and call. My Lil girl is a heavy wetter and I think preforms might help us out.

Posted by Holly Y on 16 May 2016

I've been using the neat fold for my terry squares, after finding it the preferred way round to fold compared to the kite as my squares arent quite square! Then I tuck in around the thighs so it fits under any of my medium covers on my fairly slim 10 month old.

Posted by teresa on 16 May 2016

My favourite fold is the kite fold ????

Posted by Catherine on 16 May 2016

So much to love about tradional cloth nappies! They work, they're budget friendly, no issues with fit or absorbency- they're completely customisable, easy to wash and quick to dry. I love the simplicity! Would love to win some more for baby no 4 due in July.

Posted by Lola on 16 May 2016

I've been using terry flats since my daughter was a newborn and my go to fold is the kite. Love how I can just adjust the size as she grows and can chuck them in the dryer on these cold days!

Posted by Lara on 16 May 2016

Id love to try prefolds or flats because I haven't and they seem so simple and easy to use, clean and so comfy for little bubbies.

Posted by Amy on 16 May 2016

I love that flats are so versatile- we used them from birth and now use them as toddler summer day nappies, pad folded for super absorbent pockets, as night nappies and as general spill wipers- you can't go wrong with flats!

Posted by Caitlin on 17 May 2016

I haven't used flats on a real baby yet, though I am seriously considering getting some to try on my girl. My mum kept most of hers from when we were little and I used to put my dolls in nappies :)

Posted by Rachel on 17 May 2016

I love prefolds because they are inexpensive (so you can have heaps) and dry super fast

Posted by Katrina on 17 May 2016

I've used mcns but am k keen to try prefolds as I've heard they fit better for newborns

Posted by Hannah on 17 May 2016

I dont know what the fold is called but we use prefolds and roll the sides. So great for catching newborn number 3s!!

Posted by Liesl on 17 May 2016

I love prefolds as they are sooooo absorbent and dry quickly.

Posted by Michelle sheriff on 18 May 2016

I use one prefold and one Terry towel, both pad fold and laid into a cover for my toddler's night nappy. Cheap, dries quickly and doesn't leak. We're going to prefolds and covers for our newborn due in July. I'll try the angel fold or jelly roll fold first.

Posted by Sky Waylor on 19 May 2016

I'm so glad I have a heap of prefolds now that winter is approaching. I love the quick drying time and more absorbency compared to MCNs. I've only used the pad fold as it works fine on Mr. 12 months.

Posted by Charissa on 19 May 2016

The idea of nappies scares me as much as the idea of being a new mummy soon! Hopefully the prefolds can put my mind at ease, and I know I will be doing my bit for the environment too!

Posted by Greta on 19 May 2016

We're in disposables today because my nappies aren't dry! I look forward to your advice as I have some prefolds I don't use because I find that they aren't absorbent enough for my baby. I'm unfamiliar with folds, I just folded them thrice and lay them in a cover to try. Thanks for the opportunity to win :)

Posted by Greta on 20 May 2016

Should have added that I love how quick drying they are so I'd love to learn to use them as the weather gets cooler!

Posted by Mali on 20 May 2016

Just started my newborn stash and decided to use prefolds and flats with wool covers until baby fits into OS nappies and to continue using the prefolds as inserts in pocket nappies as well :-) They are great to fit on newbies and easy to wash and dry!

Posted by Kirsty F on 20 May 2016

We used disposables with our daughter until she was big enough to fit into our MCNs. We'd love to to give prefolds a go next time around. My mum still has a stash of our terry prefolds from when we were babies that she uses for polishing :)

Posted by Kirsty on 20 May 2016

I love using flats as nappies when I run out of my tie ons! So handy to pack a few flats in my nappy bag to use as burp rags or whatever and also know with a snapping I've also got extra nappies with me too! I love that I can use them with my wool covers. We've used flats and tie ons from day dot with bub and love it.

Posted by Cassandra on 20 May 2016

I have a mix of MCN and terry flats, Muslin wraps and the Terry and Muslin are my go to favourite cloth for Bub. Simple quick wash and dry. I would to to add more to my stach ???? Great all year round ????

Posted by Mel ireson on 20 May 2016

I think flats are fabulous for optimising fit on any size baby and for speedy drying, I like the chinese fold best as it can be adjusted for babies height by folding down the nappy before you start the fold and by folding in the legs, it's a great fold for both skinny newborn and chunky toddler thighs.

Posted by Christina on 20 May 2016

I've got a newborn coming into the world in July. Would love to start on cloth nappies!!

Posted by nina ruff on 20 May 2016

I used terry squares with my first born. The major benefit I noticed, compared with my second where I used MCN, is that my first was toilet trained before she was two. I always knew exactly when she had wet her nappy so I was able to read her cues and take her to potty before she went.

Posted by Stacey M on 20 May 2016

I haven't used flats or prefolds yet, but after looking at my nappy stash last week I was shocked to think how much I have spent on nappies so far! I have ordered some snappies to get back to basics with our terry squares (that have been used for everything except nappies!) and will then look at downsizing my collection and passing on what I no longer need.

Posted by Lorelie on 20 May 2016

I like the simplicity of a pad fold

Posted by Amy on 20 May 2016

I love the simple padfold with prefolds. I love that they can go in any brand shell or cover and dry quickly and they're fairly bullet proof

Posted by Alexia on 20 May 2016

I haven't tried these yet, but have been curious about them and would love to give them a try! I think they would be a great way to bulk up my supply especially with winter coming.

Posted by Catherine on 20 May 2016

I'm pregnant with my first, so naturally I am doing a tonne of research! I am slowly building a stash of different Prefolds to try, including organic unbleached cotton, half cotton half bamboo, and 100% bamboo. The reason I have decided on Prefolds was: 1. They are cheaper and more economical to purchase 2. With a newborn, they grow so fast and come in all shapes and sizes. I have no idea what size my baby will be and with Prefolds I will just wrap to fit! 3. I think these will wash and dry more easily and take up less room in draws 4. You need only a few covers and are able to reuse them multiple times per day (if unsoiled) as opposed to washing the entire nappy. 5. They can be used as a booster in all-in-ones (which I have bought a couple for the nighttime change) 6. They can have many other purposes post their use as a nappy ie. Burp cloth, spill rag, even a dusting cloth for cleaning around the house. My mum STILL has our flat nappies from when I was a baby! Wish me luck!

Posted by Leanne on 20 May 2016

I'm expecting my first baby in August but like the simplicity and quick drying of flats and prefolds.

Posted by Charlotte on 20 May 2016

I'd love to add some flats and prefolds to my stash. Hoping for baby #3 and so many people recommend these for tiny bubbas. Also, with 2 in cloth it would be a huge help to have some quicker drying options (I live in a VERY wet town)

Posted by Hayley on 20 May 2016

Love terry squares for night time on my heavy wetting boys! My favourite is the kite fold. I used prefolds on my 2nd from birth and plan on doing the same for #3 due in September :)

Posted by Jenny on 20 May 2016

I love prefolds, have never tried flats but they're on my list. My baby went through a very chubby phase and outgrew almost all of her MCN, so I got some prefolds to use until she slimmed back down. They're so great, easy to use, quick to dry and affordable! I only used the good old trifold option as my baby was so chubby I couldn't get them around her any other way. Would love some more in a size that fit better so I can learn some new folds.

Posted by Sarah Fabian on 20 May 2016

I love using pre-folds as I love knitting and it is fun to knit practical, useful things such as nappy covers for my little one :)

Posted by Louisa on 20 May 2016

I adore using flat nappies and covers, they are economical but -just as importantly they are leave free! I've never had a poo escapade with them, they for snuggly around their legs (I use the origami fold and do a little Rick around the leg contour to make it leak proof! With my son who had a pooey happy every time o remember wondering how terribly wasteful it would have been if I was using disposables... About 15 nappies a day would have ended in the bin! Even with an autumn/winter baby in Tassie, flats washed and dried so easily. Then I dyed some purple and used them to wipe up floor spoils& wee during toilet training! Amazing, I am a devotee. So is my mum, she still uses old ones of mine too wash windows- they're 30 years old! Can't get that multi purpose use with modern cloth!! Go old school!

Posted by Gina Wagle on 20 May 2016

I love flat nappies, they look so cute and work really well!

Posted by Tracey on 20 May 2016

I use prefolds pad folded in my shells. I'd love more to boost my stash for winter.

Posted by Cathy on 20 May 2016

I love using flat nappies as they dry so quickly in winter! My favourite fold at the moment is the kite fold but am keen to try the angel fold!

Posted by Amy on 20 May 2016

We love our "flatty whites"! Living in an apartment, MCN's can seemingly take years to dry, whereas flats are a no fuss option - hang them on the clotheshorse and they're dry that very day. My favourite fold is the standard kite, and sometimes I pop a bamboo booster in for extra absorbency. And what can I say...I like big butts and I cannot lie :)

Posted by Yumin on 20 May 2016

I have a wide variety of MCN styles in my stash, but the staple is definitely the flats/prefolds. Not only are they versatile and do their job well, but they are also very hardy, wears well, and can be used for future babies without having to worry about elastics stretching and other little things that take time and more money to fix. I have used prefolds both as a nappy and a bib. And doubled flats as a nappy change pad during change time. They are easy to use with snappies or they can be pad folded into a cover. The variety is great and they are multi-purpose so money well spent. It's really hard to narrow down a favourite thing, so I included the top ones that come to mind!

Posted by Jessica on 20 May 2016

I would LOVE to try them! they look far easier to wash and dry then some of the other nappies available.

Posted by Lori Pavic on 20 May 2016

My favourite thing about flats is how easy they are to get clean and dry. They are so versatile too and u can almost always get a great fit due to the variety of folds. My favourite fold is the Croissant Fold, it fits great and has great absorbency down the centre part.

Posted by Dioh Paguia on 20 May 2016

I love flats and prefolds. We use them to boost our night time nappies and as morning nappy partnered with covers. I use pad fold as it is the easiest way to use it.

Posted by ?Lilli on 20 May 2016

I have prefolds and flats. I love how quickly my flats dry! Also I find my prefolds and flats very versatile depending on what I'm after at different ages. They've been great for elimination communication.

Posted by Kathryn on 20 May 2016

I love flat nappies. I love how quick and easy they are to wash and dry which is very handy with a newborn and the number of nappy changes. I also find them the best for containing newborn poop. I am using the bat or origami fold currently on my 8 week old.

Posted by Michelle on 20 May 2016

I have used them to fill and boost nappy covers before. Would love to again as it's getting chilly and my nappies arnt absorbent enough. These are so under rated they wash well and dry super quick! Win win! ????

Posted by Carolyne Bird on 20 May 2016

I love the quick drying time of flats & prefolds, especially coming into winter! They're also versatile for other uses than catching wee & poo, like mopping up accidents, burp cloths, tucking on top of mattress to protect from little spit ups from little babies.

Posted by Jade burke on 20 May 2016

I've only tried terries flats and cotton prefolds, my preferred fold for terries is the croissant fold as it's extremely absorbant in the right place for boys and has wide wings. And the pad fold for prefolds. But I'm wanting to try out other materials in both.

Posted by Mel H on 20 May 2016

I used the odd Terry flat with my last daughter 6 years ago. This baby I'm planning on using solely prefolds and flats for the first few months possibly longer for the ease of washing and how quick they dry, also as an added bonus I'll be able to use the smaller size prefolds as boosters later on.

Posted by Libby on 20 May 2016

I used flannel flats for my son when he was young and as he got older I used more absorbent bamboo blend modern nappies. There is nothing like patting a baby's bottom which is wearing a cloth nappy. I liked the flats mainly as they were so quick to dry. I have friends who are due to have their first baby in 8 weeks and also are keen to use cloth nappies

Posted by Hayley on 20 May 2016

We use flats!!! They are fantastic for the customised size every time!! They are quick to dry and pretty well bomb proof! So easy to use!

Posted by Samantha on 20 May 2016

Bombproof!!! Contain everything at every stage. Terry square flats would love to try out different ones and grovia prefolds

Posted by Tracey on 20 May 2016

I haven't used prefolds or flats but I'd like to try it.

Posted by Jessica on 20 May 2016

I love using the bikini twist fold with my prefolds. It's a really trim fold that is great for little girl absorbency!

Posted by Kylie on 20 May 2016

I only started my cloth nappy journey 7 weeks ago on my then 5 week old. I haven't used flats or pre folds before but I think they would be a prefect addition to my stash of BBH bamboo fitteds, just in time for winter!

Posted by Karen on 20 May 2016

Love flats and favorite fold is the good ol kite fold ????

Posted by Georgina on 20 May 2016

I used pre folds for my newborn and LOVED the drying time. Not sure why I'm not still using them!

Posted by Kelly on 20 May 2016

I love terry flats, the origami fold for newborn and now Gaynors fold for the toddler. So flexible!

Posted by Elizabeth on 20 May 2016

I love flats. We used terry flats in the origami fold from birth. We've switched to the jo fold now that he's bigger. I love how absorbant they are and grippy too when it comes to number twos. And I won't use anything else when it's cold and rainy as they dry so fast.

Posted by Schayne George on 20 May 2016

I love my prefolds, they never really get outgrown, I use my newborn and small sized prefolds as pocket inserts and boosters! And even great-great-grandma can change a flat nappy!

Posted by Kerry-Anne on 20 May 2016

I love the kite fold. It's so easy to use.

Posted by Angela Charles on 20 May 2016

FTM still growing my squish but I have already bought a mix of nappies including Terry Flats. Mum still has some of mine from 37 years ago to give me too.

Posted by Jane Lambert on 20 May 2016

Yes flats are awesome. So easy to travel with. Went camping with a stack of prefolds and some covers- too easy!

Posted by Amy on 20 May 2016

We never used flats or prefolds for our first but I love the idea of using them as a newborn nappy for the second. Quick drying definitely appeals and being able to make them small enough. Then you can use them as wipes, burp cloth etc after Thank you

Posted by Rebecca on 20 May 2016

I'm new to the mcn world with my first born. I am using a variety of brands and I am addicted!! I would love to add terry squares to our collection for the simplicity and quick drying time. My mother used terry squares on me and it would be great to share this with my daughter too.

Posted by Jacky Wise on 20 May 2016

Hi am new to the cloth world but love the idea of using flats on my new bub. Gone were the day of plain terry flats and pitchers, hello bamboo luxury prefolds and cute as covers. Can't wait to buy my new stash later this year.

Posted by Shannon on 21 May 2016

We are due for our beautiful baby in October and are really wanting to try cloth nappies. We are really keen to give flats a go as they don't seem as daunting as we thought. We also feel they will be a great investment as we can use them again and in different ways.

Posted by Leah on 21 May 2016

Love prefolds. Quick to dry, hard to kill in the wash and gotta love the win feeling when you master the fold and the mess stays in the nappy with no trace on the cover! 'Jelly roll' fold works great for my new boy.

Posted by Winsome on 21 May 2016

I'd love to try flats or prefolds ... we've cloth nappied all of our children but never attempted folding nappies :-)

Posted by Simone on 21 May 2016

I used flats for my older kids, and have fallen in love with them again for my now 2 year old. So much easier than trying to get enough absorbency in MCN.

Posted by Elizabeth on 21 May 2016

I love terry flats - so easy and versatile.

Posted by Mel on 21 May 2016

I loved flannel and terry flats on my newborns, and I'm looking forward to trying prefolds with new Bub due in August.

Posted by tanya on 21 May 2016

Yes please! I found that prefolds works best for my bub with a cover, no leak and he sleeps through the night without changing a nappy. It takes a bit more time to put on your baby but it does the best job comparing to OSFM or sized pocket nappies. Just love it :)!

Posted by Laura on 21 May 2016

Keen to use prefolds on my newborn this time round.. Last time I used disposables!! Have heard prefolds are a good economical option and have picked up some thirsties covers to use with them :-) Oh and quick drying in the winter is very appealing!!

Posted by Christina Smith on 21 May 2016

Chubby leg, skinny leg, baby number two There's a nappy fold just perfect for you Angel wing, jelly roll, bikini and kite With so many options we'll find one that's right Heavy wetting, poo-splosions all night and day We know flat nappies and prefolds are the way Quick dry nappies in the winter damp and splash Please give me some flats or prefolds for my stash

Posted by Lilian Saxby on 21 May 2016

I absolutely love prefolds...always get the perfect fit, no leaks and easy to dry!

Posted by Beck on 22 May 2016

Just getting into prefolds. Would love them. Using on my 6 month old and 2 yr old :)

Posted by Miriam on 22 May 2016

I love prefolds for their fuss-free laundering and fitting. Mastering varied folds is quite different to the brain-strain you get jumping from one AIO or Ai2 type or brand to another! ;) Wonderful as winter nappies as well.

Posted by Di on 22 May 2016

I would love to try out flats with my baby when he comes in July. I bought the fitted ones but the quick drying part is very appealing.

Posted by Eunice ang on 22 May 2016

I love prefolds as my back up stash/ or winter stash and it dry much faster and so easy to use. I used flats as a night time option when little one is young and it works great! I love the kite fold then
